Practical Energy-Saving Tips for Mobile Crushers: Small Changes, Big Gains

In mining and aggregate production, energy costs account for a large proportion of mobile crusher operation expenses.

Master these practical tips to cut energy consumption and boost profits without heavy investment:

1. Match Feed Size Precisely

Feed materials strictly according to the size marked on the equipment nameplate; avoid forcing oversized materials.

Oversized materials increase crushing load, raise energy consumption, and accelerate wear of wearing parts.

Install a screening grid at the feed inlet to sift out large chunks in advance.

2. Optimize Crushing Parameter Settings

Adjust the discharge gap based on finished product requirements to avoid "over-crushing".

For coarse finished particles, expand the discharge gap appropriately to reduce energy waste from repeated crushing.

Regularly calibrate equipment speed parameters to maintain optimal crushing frequency.

3. Keep Equipment Running Clean with Light Load

Regularly clean the material adhesion layer on the inner wall of the crushing chamber—excessive adhesion reduces effective crushing space and increases operation resistance.

In addition, clear debris on conveyor rollers and idlers in time to lower friction energy consumption of the conveyor system.

4. Switch Power Modes on Demand

For dual-power models, use electric drive first when stable power supply is available, as electric energy is much cheaper than diesel.

When using diesel power in remote areas without electricity, avoid idle running; turn off the engine if stopping for more than 10 minutes.

5. Regular Maintenance to Reduce Energy Waste

Lubrication system failure increases component friction resistance and energy consumption.

Refuel with suitable lubricating oil on time, replace aging filters regularly, and check belt tightness—too loose causes slipping, too tight increases motor load, both leading to higher energy use.
